LBS Summer Finance Symposium 2025

The Finance Subject Area at London Business School invites paper submissions for the 2025 Summer Finance Symposium, hosted on our campus on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June, 2025. In addition to academic sessions, there will be an evening reception (all attendees) and a conference dinner (invitation only). 

We are delighted to announce our keynote speakers:

-          Itay Goldstein, Joel S. Ehrenkranz Family Professor of Finance, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

-          Amit Seru, Steven and Roberta Denning Professor of Finance, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, and Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution

The submission deadline is Monday, 31 March 2025. Faculty members from London Business School will select the programme. The conference organizers will notify you of the Program Committee's decision by Mid-April 2025.

Papers from all areas of finance are welcome. We encourage submissions of papers by junior faculty and preliminary papers. Abstracts will not be accepted.

The submission fee is £50 per paper. The fees are non-refundable and support administrative and other expenses related to the conference. The fee is waived for PhD students upon verification of their PhD status. Applications will remain pending until this verification is complete. 

Summer in London is typically beautiful, and the days are long. We look forward to a fun and high-quality conference.

The conference is being hosted in-person and on campus, at Sussex Place . The registration desk will be inside Ratcliffe building. Campus Map and Information

Hotel accommodation has been organised for Presenters and Discussants at the Melia White House.

If you are travelling into London Heathrow airport, then we recommend that you take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station, where you can then take a taxi or public transportation onward to the Melia White House Hotel. Similarly, if you are travelling into London Gatwick, then we recommend you take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station, where you can then take a taxi or public transportation onward to the Melia White House Hotel. 

The nearest TfL Underground station to campus is Baker Street and Marylebone.
